More commonly on women who color or bleach their hair, FLY-AWAYS tend to be a popular problem when it comes to styling. I'm not talking about frizz, I'm talking fly-aways-- you know...
THIS KIND
It's nothing to be ashamed about. Fly-aways occur when their is breakage on the hair which can be caused by using harsh chemical treatments, some generic shampoos that can make your hair brittle, or even just using a stiff rubber band to pull your hair back-- thus, making anyone susceptible at one time or another! So here's a little tip...
Now, this isn't my idea, but it comes from one of my best friends, Miss Elizabeth! We were in another friend's wedding together and while we were getting all dolled up I noticed something interesting... Elizabeth was running a mascara wand through the top of her bright (all-natural) blonde hair. I was a little puzzled at first, but once I realized she wasn't making waterproof black-brown streaks in her hair I figured it was nothing to worry about. Still curious though, I asked her what the heck she was doing. She was using clear mascara to restrain her fly-aways! Is that not the most brilliant idea ever?
I had always wondered what the point of clear mascara was! Turns out, you can use it to shape your eyebrows too!
Maybe I'm the only one that didn't know any of this already, but for those of you who are like me, I hope that little tip helps! I like the idea of using clear mascara rather than a stiff hairspray or slimy hair product.
Here is a H2T look of mine from the other day... I was just recovering from mono and had worn nothing but sweats for a couple weeks so my husband was excited to take some pictures of me once I finally put something cute on! (Even though he tells me I'm beautiful no matter what I'm wearing...) Oh! And my hair is darker now! I feel more Armenian now, which I actually am.
So, have you ever tried using clear mascara for your fly-aways? How do you restrain yours? Or are you blessed to not have to deal with them?
