We've officially started our house hunt, again!
We drove by/peered through/snooped around the yards of a few houses last night and fell in love with two of them.
We emailed our realtor late last night and he miraculously had an opening to take us on some tours today at noon!
I was just so excited last night I couldn't even sleep. Seriously.
And although the tours weren't bad, they definitely weren't the best.
The house we were most excited to look through was locked up with no lock box.
One that we were super curious about turned out to be a dump.
And one has a pool (!) and a HUGE backyard but it's not in the best neighborhood, nor is the style of home for our taste.
Today was just the first day of house hunting, but I left feeling a little disappointed.
Actually, a lot disappointed.
I guess it's just because I'm impatient and avoid situations that may turn into a process.
I don't care about the journey.
I'm destination minded.
I just want to get to the end.
I want what I want right away--whoa! That made me sound like a brat.
But ser ser (pronounced "seer-seer", short for seriously, but with more emphasis since it's repeated), just ask Ian. I am literally the most impatient person in the world (I'm working on it).
When I see something in my mind, I have to have it that way and I want nothing to do with it if it turns out wrong.
This is only day one of the house hunt.
I have a feeling there will be many more like this one.
God, grant me the patience I so desperately need!
Just try to have fun, looking for a place is never fun and all stressful
ReplyDeleteOooh, I am constantly learning the "patience" lesson. I'm a big planner/dreamer/schemer who gazes into the future all the time.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy this special time though!
P.S. Love the pictures out in the sun:-) xoxo
You'll find the right place! Usually how it goes for me is I am lukewarm about every place, and then BAM, I see the right one and it's totally clear to me.

I remember when we were house hunting, we both lived at home and would drive around in the evenings looking for For Sale signs. Thats how we found our little house, and we are still here 18 yrs later :) Hope you find The One x
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the househunting process. You'll know the gold when you find it. Within 2 steps into the home we are in now, we just looked at each other and KNEW it.
