insecure in my femininity.

Sweater: Thrifted, Shirt: Banana Republic Thrifted, Necklace: Burlington Coat Factory, Jeans: Ross, Shoes: UrbanOG.com

If you know me in real life (or since the start of this blog) you would know that I am the most girly of girlies.
My nails are always painted.
I have to wear make-up whenever I'm out in public. Or even home alone.
I usually wear heels.
And if that doesn't validate my femininity then I play my "I was fourth runner-up Miss Oregon Teen" card. And if you don't know about pageants, fourth runner-up is a nice way of saying "fifth place."

Anywho, my somewhat unrelated intro is now over.

But I do feel like a boy whenever I wear a collar.
Since collars are like totally "in" and I love to wear things that are in style, I over compensate by wearing gold gem-encrusted jewelry, my highest of heels, a ballerina bun, and an extra splash of perfume--just incase anyone is curious enough of my gender to get that close! Ha.
E-bear (Ian) calls me ridiculous.
But ser ser.
It's the only way.

  3. Haha. You are so cute! I love the ever-so-slightly-masculine look of wearing boy-ish clothes, but I can never fully commit. I have to do the whole makeup/jewelry thing too! (I had short hair for a few months when I was little, and got called a boy all the time: I think I'm scarred for life now:-) xoxo

  4. This post makes me laugh. I never would've thought about looking like a boy in a collar and I'm sure no one would ever mistake you for one. But, I do love the outfit you put together. I love bib type necklaces with a buttoned up button-up. Cute cute.

  7. Thats funny, I sort of overcompensate and dress up when I haven't showered yet for the day, and end up curling my hair and wearing earrings and putting on makeup, where if I"m freshly showered I could usually care less.

  11. haha I don't think that you could make a collar look masculine. Not matter what you did. Don't worry about it. Love the way you styled it!

We're going to Sasquatch, the music festival in Washington, for our anniversary trip. I love that you're going in June to celebrate, that's hilarious! And amazing! Didn't you tell me awhile ago that you're going to Cancun? Is that still the plan?
