Awkward & Awesome (in photos).

I always call these Awkward and Awesome but they're really just awkward... to match the rest of me.

Is this a snarl?

Cat fight...

This isn't scary...

Gunner clearly loves taking photos with me...

In other news:

we didn't get the house.

Long story short:

Our first inspector (recommended by the realtor) turned out to be a scammer and not everything was fine and dandy like he said it was.
We got a second inspection and found all sorts of problems with the darn thing that the seller wasn't willing to fix nor were we.
I'm not sure why I'm not that sad about it. Probably because the last week has been really annoying and I was ready to let go. I'm sure we'll find another, I'm just not sure when we'll get a chance to go back out there and look!

Cheers to house hunting for the third time!

  4. girl...strap in and buckle up! we went through the same thing when we tried getting our house 3 years ago..basically, it took nearly 8 months to find a house, get inspected, and our offer accepted. pain in the butt! but at least you can see the things you REALLY want/need versus the ones you could live without.... you'll find the right house for you guys soon :) and when you do, i want to see pictures!

  6. Oh honey, it took us so many full days of house hunting until we found our house and it actually worked out. A lot of times things happen that make it so for some reason it doesn't happen. Just know that you WILL find the one for you and when you do, you will be so happy and feel that it was worth the wait!

  12. ha ha, i love the silly pictures!

house hunting is such an emotional roller coaster!
my husband and i purchased our first home about 2 years ago. we went through 2 realtors and put 3 offers in on houses. it's a draining process, but eventually you find a house you will fall in love with!
    XOXO

  13. I feel like you are my blog twin! Our first condo (right by the beach) was a short sale, we offered... wait and wait then one day we see someone has moved in! The second house, same thing.. penny pinching and scamming turns out there were tons of problems and they refused to do anything and we walked away. Now 3rd short sale and waiting... maybe 3rd times the charm for the both of us?!?

  14. I am trying to live by the notion that if I believe that God is in my decisions, then, "If it works out it is the Lord", but also "If it doesn't work out it is the Lord". Easier said than done, but I KNOW with all my heart that HE has the PERFECT house at the PERFECT time just for you and Ian! It will all be clear then. Love your attitude in the meantime sweet girl :)

  17. Hey! :) Thanks for visiting my blog. You are such a cutie and I feel your pain with house hunting. We are going through the same thing right now.

We put a bid on a house I REALLLLLY liked and well, today, my hubby sent an email about whether or not we should bid higher b/c the realtor said he has another potential buyer. Well, the email wasn't mean, but it wasn't nice. Long story short....I never got the email. He accidentally sent it to the realtor! :( All I could say was omg...o.m.g.
    xoxo
