i love my city.

Collared Shirt: Thrifted, Sweater & Necklace: Burlington Coat Factory, Belt: Thrifted, Jeans: f21, Shoes: Trouve from Nordstrom.

You know when people stretch the truth to make it sound cooler?
That's totally me.
I say I live in Portland, but the truth is I live in the 'burbs.
I'm cool with that!
If we had the funds to afford a house in the city (if that even exists) I would totes be there, but suburban life is big enough for us small-town folk.
That doesn't take away my love for the city of Portland (and surrounding areas) though.
Sometimes I'm just so overwhelmed with how right this place is for us. Not only do I love the area, geographically, but I love the people here. And not just my friends. But like everyone. I'm so blessed to interact with these people.
This is where my heart is.

  6. I LOVE these pictures of you (: and I totally get it- we live in the burbs too, almost 2 hours outside of LA... But, geographically speaking, this isnt exactly where I want to be. I'd rather be in the mountains, up north, by the ocean, or anywhere that isn't smack dab in the desert! But, I WILL say, my friends and family are here, so it's not TOO shabby (:

  7. I absolutely love this look. And I feel the same way about where I live. We say we live in Pittsburgh, but we live outside, and all the surrounding areas are just as awesome.

  21. Fun photos!

I live in SE Portland, so it's not downtown, but there is way more to Portland than just that area! And homes are decently priced out here :)

I take my hometown for granted far too often.
