10 weeks and feeling large.

Blazer: Vintage Nordstrom, Top: f21, Necklace: f21, Boots: Restricted DSW, Purse: Urban Outfitters

I wish I had a shirt that said "Hi, I'm pregnant", because I tell ya, if body image were ever an issue for me, it's now! I mean, I'm certainly not complaining. I'm just self conscious that people think my waist is expanding because I've eaten too many hot dogs or something because I'm just looking a little pudgy and not quite pregnant yet.
(If you've ever been pregnant, you know what I'm talking about. And if you haven't, I probably sound conceited and you'll understand one day.)
I should probably be soaking in the last days of fitting into my regular jeans, but instead I usually resort to stretchy cotton garments that don't slice into my squish.
I'm looking forward to wearing lots of dresses in the summer.
That could be cute.

  2. I just wore tops and dresses that were a bit more flowy at that point and I'm pretty sure nobody noticed. And...judging from your photos, you don't look pudgy at all. Regardless, this stage will be over real soon!

  3. Well, you don't look big at all.

I've never been pregnant, but I get what you're saying. When you look pregnant, it's easier to show off the bump. In this in between phase, I'm sure it feels weird!

    Love that blue blazer!

  6. The term is "thickening" and I laughed at first when Matt and I read that was what happened...then my waist disappeared and the best word was truly "thickening." Embrace it- hands down one of the most freeing experiences I have ever had-ever. I gained 8 pounds in two weeks and the doctor asked if I was okay with that and I told him I was quite stoked :)

Embrace it-you were made for this and you are beautiful.

PS: you will look back and make fun of yourself for thinking your body had changed a ton at this point. I seriously laughed so hard in month 9 about the first part when I thought I had changed a lot.

Oh-and you will then be typing your blog posts one handed :)

  8. at least you know the reason for your expanding waist is just pregnancy, Mine is just fast food. My little fast food pudge was bigger then my friend who was pregnant until she was about 4months along ha ha. If that isnt a reason to get myself into the gym then Idk what is! except i still haven't made it to the gym.....

  12. Ohh I certainly remember those days! Wait until you're too big for normal jeans but too small for maternity ones. It's an awkward stage.

Love the pop of color with the blazer!

  21. You look great! I completely understand how you feel though, I'm 15 weeks and I'm just starting to feel like I might look a little pregnant instead of just like I ate everything in my kitchen! haha
