before i threw up...

Yesterday Ian and I went for a helicopter ride with our friend Keith! I was really nervous to go but Ian really wanted to so I forced myself to join. It ended up being really fun even though I don't like heights and was really tired.
Gosh, I'm so high maintenance.

We had the option of flying over the city or the country and we decided to look at all the beautiful farms and vineyards since it was such a beautiful day.

I was feeling nauseas pretty much the whole time because we were hitting some "thermals" (i.e. turbulence) but I tried to ignore it and enjoy all the beautiful sites! When we were coming in for landing the fumes were just too much... I jumped out of the chopper and ran behind the barn and threw up the pizza I had eaten for lunch.
Not gonna lie... it felt good!
Naturally, we stopped at Krispy Kreme on the way home to get some sugars in me. Happy mama and happy baby.

Even though I got sick, I had a really fun time!
Plus, the reward at the end was totally worth it ; )

  1. Pizza, throwing up, then doughnuts? You are definitely pregnant, lol. I've never been in a helicopter but I can see why you would be hesitant! Looks fun, though!

  2. That looks so fun, but throwing up would really put a damper on it for me. On the other hand, donuts would cheer me right up :)

  4. oh man, totally understandable with the whole throwing up thing! Kudos to you for surviving the actual in-flight experience whilst preggo! And as for the Krispy Kreme...what mama wants, mama gets:-) It's a fact! xoxo

  6. Yay for putting your fear of heights aside and taking the helicopter ride! I'm afraid of height and don't like helicopters, so, I'm giving you a big high five! :) Boo for the pizza not lasting...hehe...but yay for some krispy creme, which my mother calls "pillows of perfection" when she has their simple glazed ones! :)
