Somehow, the story of "The Tootsie Roll" came up over dinner on the 4th of July.
I can't even remember why I brought it up, but turns out that Ian never knew about it!
You see, when I was about four years young, I took my first-ever plane ride from California to New York. We were visiting distant relatives and were looking for a good time.
Well, my four year-old idea of a "good time" included the little neighborhood parade that we all claimed a seat on the curb for, but what it did not include was when the prince in the carriage threw a Tootsie Roll directly at my nose and MADE IT BLEED!!!
I spent the rest of that night in the scary bathroom of the dark basement we were staying in. Just trying to calm the bleeding... Eventually it stopped. And I even lived on to share the story with my husband eighteen years later! Funny the things you learn about your spouse...
and now I'm craving Tootsie Rolls.
that is funny. and I LOVE tootsie rolls! and you look BEAUTIFUL!! I love the color of your skirt!

Cutest baby bump ever! Hope I can still manage to dress this cute when I eventually have kids.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute little story, I just re-told I childhood story to my husband over the weekend that he has never heard. He usually doesn't believe my stories until they are verified by a third part, something about me being over dramatic? Who me?
ReplyDeleteLove this beautiful maxi & crochet top on you my dear. You are absolutely glowing!
