holding him up.

Sorry my post is so late today! My back went out yesterday and I almost died.
Luckily I found a chiropractor that would see my on a Sunday and a husband and babysitters taking care of me and the baby : / Needless to say, it's been an eventful/uneventful few couple of days...

Last week's wow assignment was to pay attention to the small things that please your husband. To think of ways to show him that you notice him and the things he likes. What did you do for your husband last week?

Ian was sick with a cold (I know, we are falling apart over here), so I made a trip to the pharmacy aisle at my neighborhood Albertson's and delivered a care package to him at work with vitamin c, Dayquil, tissues, and other cold-remedy type things.

He's also really into protein so I picked out some new protein drinks and and bars for him to try out and gave those to him the next day.

I've been pretty useless since my back went out, but I also suggested we make a spontaneous trip to Burgerville to get holiday shakes since he'd mentioned earlier that he wanted a fun Christmasy drink.

I know, it's easy to show your husband love by feeding him... Haha.

I'm gonna make the rest of this post short because I can't sit but I am.

The chapter is called "Hold Me Up, Honey." And it's all about praying for your husband in the area that is most stressful to him. Ask him what consumes the majority of his thoughts-- what troubles him? Assure him that you are there for him and that you are praying. Give him space to talk and unload. Then pray for him.

Come back tomorrow and beyond for some fun guest posts and giveaways!

  1. I'm so sorry to hear about your back. That is never good, but must be especially hard with a new baby at home. I hope you recover quickly!

  2. It's so true Sarah...my husband loves receiving food too! :) Gotta love it. I'm sorry to hear about your back! We went to the 6pm service & Ian was praying for you & your back. I hope you are on the mend. And I'm excited for this week task....it's perfect timing. It's really a blessing to do this along side you. Grace & Peace, Stephanie

i did my "little things" too. i ordered him the new iphone case he has been talking about the last month or two. i got him his favorite tillamook cheese block. i let him stay after work a few days late to workout even though i had been been home alone all day. it is amazing what all those little things can mean to them! i love loving on him.
