Scarf: c/o Blossom Yarn etsy, Chambray: thrifted (similar), Pants: Target, Shoes: Target (similar), Sunglasses: House of Harlow Marie c/o SunglassesShop
You read that title right, peoples!
I can't remember the last time I read a book cover to cover until one week ago.
I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I think it was back in high school that I actually read an entire book.
Yikez.
But thanks to my parents and the Kindle Fire they gave me for my birthday, I am now a little tiny book worm and have completed two books in two weeks (this one and this one)!
Although I kinda feel like it's cheating to read on a backlit screen instead of paper pages...
But I don't actually care that much because I've never liked the feel of paper books.
They always make my fingers cramp and my hands feel dry.
I also just have to give a shout out to Blossom Yarn for the beautiful scarf! The color wasn't exactly what I was imagining from the pictures, but I must say that this light lavender color is just as pretty. And the yarn is sooooo soft and cozy!
I'm also loving my gigantor House of Harlow sunglasses from Sunglasses Shop. The bigger the better, in my opinion. I love when sunglasses protect more of my face than just my eyes. I normally don't go for brown sunglasses because they don't seem as strong as black when guarding against the sun, but these (House of Harlow Marie) are actually really tinted. Now if only the sun would come out around here...
I have been thinking of getting a Kindle, but Im worried Ill miss my paper pages like you said! However it would be way easier for packing purposes!

I love how the scarf looks paired with your shirt! Cute outfit post! I seriously wish I had time to read books (for fun)-I used to read so much before college! Now, when I get holiday breaks and don't have classes, the last thing I want to do is read!
ReplyDeletethat's awesome! i havent read a book in ages too. but i figure textbooks count as "reading" haha. and those are the most boring reads you can find

ReplyDeleteKaren Kane Giveaway!
I read a lot of books on the Kindle Fire as well when Pearl was really little. It's so easy to read and swipe to the next page with one hand while nursing. And since she was the slowest eater ever I was pretty much constantly nursing :)
ReplyDeleteThis is totally an outfit I would wear! I love how casual chic it is!
ReplyDeleteI read so much more with my Kindle and those sunglasses are perfect!

That scarf looks so cozy and amazing! I've been on the fence about getting a kindle... I actually love books so I feel torn about it.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I would do without my kindle. I would probably drown in a sea of books stacked to the ceiling to my room. Hoarders would have nothing on my book collection :) I will defitnitely have to check these two out!

I love black skinnies and a chambray! It's a look I rock many of days!

I think that the color of that scarf is gorgeous - especially with your dark hair. You're rocking it girl!
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit! A denim shirt and black jeans are my favourite go-to outfit. And I've been reading heaps more too since starting to use my Kobo (like a Kindle) :)

ReplyDeleteThis outfit features so many of my favorite closet staples but loved how you combined them! I am the EXACT same way with my Kindle (old school version) - as soon as I got it I was breezing through books! They just make it so darn easy! What are you reading next?
