When I think of boots or even ankle booties, I think of full-coverage shoes. So, I was shocked when cutout boots kept popping up everywhere! The exposed ankles/sides are so unexpected, but make them the perfect transition shoe from Summer to Fall. I just ordered #4 and have already been brainstorming ways to wear them...
I love that on their own they look kind of edgy, but can work well with a feminine piece like a dress or skirt:
I anticipate wearing them with skinny jeans through Fall-- until rainy season hits and requires socks!
But until then, I will try them out with shorts and skirts. I'm a little nervous they will cut off my legs at a weird place (ankle booties-- especially black-- tend to do that to me sometimes) making me look a little stumpy, but I guess we won't know until we try (and blog about it)!
Will this be a trend you try? What would you wear them with?
